Panjshir offensives
판지시르 공세
A series of nine large-scale combined-arms offensives conducted by the Soviet 40th Army and Afghan government forces against Ahmad Shah Massoud's mujahideen in the Panjshir Valley between 1980 and 1985. The operations aimed to secure the strategic Salang Pass supply corridor north of Kabul, but despite massive air and ground firepower they repeatedly failed to hold the valley, making them the war's most concentrated illustration of tactical superiority without strategic result.
