парторг (партийный организатор) · 1919–1991

Partorg (Party Organizer)

파르토르크

The grassroots leadership position of the CPSU's primary party organization. A partorg was the elected or appointed head of a party cell (later primary party organization) or its sub-unit (shop floor, brigade party group) in a factory, collective farm, military unit, or institution, responsible for managing party members and enforcing the party line on the ground. The title 'party organizer (partorg)' was first codified in the 1934 Party Rules; at major industrial sites, the Central Committee directly appointed 'partorg TsK' who wielded dual authority alongside the factory director. In the armed forces, partorgs worked under or alongside political officers (politruks, zampolits), monitoring and reporting on soldiers' ideological mood.
