Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit (AMPC)
첨단제조 생산세액공제(AMPC)
A production tax credit introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 as Section 45X of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. It provides per-unit tax credits for domestically manufactured battery cells ($35/kWh), modules ($10/kWh), solar and wind components, and critical minerals. The three major Korean battery makers are key beneficiaries (LG Energy Solution alone received 189.8 billion won in Q1 2026) but its future is uncertain under the Trump administration's push to repeal or curtail the IRA.
