한코 반도
Hanko Peninsula
핀란드 본토의 최남단에 위치한 반도로, 발트해와 핀란드만을 가르는 지점에 자리한다. 1939년 가을 모스크바 협상에서 소련이 30년간 해군기지 임차를 요구하면서 겨울전쟁의 결정적 쟁점이 되었으며, 핀란드는 도서 할양과 카렐리야 영토 조정은 협상 가능하다고 보았으나 본토에 소련 군사기지를 두는 것만은 거부했다. 1940년 3월 모스크바 평화조약으로 결국 소련에 임대되었고, 계속전쟁 중이던 1941년 12월 소련군이 철수할 때까지 해군기지로 운영되었다.
