afgantsy
1979년부터 1989년까지 소련의 아프가니스탄 전쟁에 파병되었다 귀환한 소련 퇴역군인을 가리키는 러시아어 구어 표현이다. 공식 용어인 '국제주의 전사(воины-интернационалисты)'와 달리, 이 말은 전쟁의 사회적 유산 전체를 함축한다. 귀환 후 이들은 사회적 무관심과 관료적 방치에 직면했고, '아프간 신드롬(афганский синдром)'이라 불린 높은 PTSD 발병률을 겪었다. 1991년 소련 해체 후에도 퇴역군인 조직과 기념 문화는 소비에트 이후 지역 전역에서 정치적 영향력을 유지하고 있다.
