A current within Russian Social Democracy that prioritized workers' economic struggles over wages and hours while leaving leadership of the political struggle against autocracy to liberal forces. Associated with Rabochaya Mysl and Rabocheye Dyelo, it was attacked by Iskra and Lenin's What Is to Be Done?, which argued for a nationwide political organization.
