Operation Bagration
바그라티온 작전
The codename for the Soviet Byelorussian strategic offensive, launched on 22 June 1944 and lasting through 19 August. Four Soviet fronts struck simultaneously, shattering Army Group Centre, destroying 28 German divisions, and advancing 400–500 km in three weeks. It was the first full realisation of Soviet deep battle and maskirovka (strategic deception), the greatest defeat in German military history, and the triumph of Soviet operational art.
