국제여단
International Brigades
코민테른이 스페인 내전에서 공화국 정부를 지원하기 위해 조직한 외국인 의용부대. 1936년 9월 18일 코민테른 집행위원회 결정으로 결성되어 프랑스·이탈리아·독일·폴란드·미국 등 50여 개국에서 약 3만 2천 명이 참전했으며, 마드리드 방어전과 하라마·과달라하라·에브로 전투에서 핵심 전력으로 싸웠다. 기지는 알바세테에 두고 앙드레 마르티가 사령관을 맡았으며, 1938년 9월 후안 네그린 총리가 불개입위원회의 외국군 철수 요구에 호응해 해산을 발표하고 10월 바르셀로나에서 고별 행진을 가졌다.
