Normalization

1969년 구스타우 후사크 집권 후부터 1989년 벨벳 혁명까지 체코슬로바키아 공산당이 실시한 억압적 복구 정책으로, 프라하의 봄 개혁을 전면 철회하고 당의 중앙집권적 통제를 재확립했다. 당원 150만 명을 대상으로 한 사상 검증과 대규모 숙청, 검열 부활, 경제의 재중앙화, 경찰 권력 강화를 통해 사회 전반을 통제했으며, '소련 형제의 원조'라 불린 바르샤바 조약군의 주둔을 항구화했다. 20년간 지속된 이 체제는 체코슬로바키아 사회에 정치적 무관심과 사적 영역으로의 후퇴를 구조화했으나, 1989년 동유럽 혁명과 함께 붕괴했다.
