War of Laws

소련 말기(1989–1991) 연방 중앙정부와 공화국 정부들 사이에 벌어진 헌법적 충돌. 공화국들이 주권선언을 통해 자국 헌법과 법률이 연방법에 우선한다고 선언하자, 모스크바는 이를 위헌으로 무효화했고 공화국들은 다시 중앙의 결정을 거부하는 순환적 대립이 전개되었다. 이 입법 교착은 연방의 법적 질서를 와해시켰고, 결국 신연방조약만이 유일한 돌파구로 남게 만들었다.
