Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism
레닌이 1916년 취리히에서 저술한 마르크스주의 정치경제학 저작으로, 자본주의가 독점 단계인 제국주의로 이행했음을 논증한다. 독점, 금융자본, 자본 수출, 국제 카르텔, 세계 영토 분할이라는 제국주의의 다섯 가지 특징을 정식화했으며, 칼 카우츠키의 '초제국주의론'을 논박하고 제국주의를 '자본주의의 최고 단계'이자 '사회주의 혁명의 전야'로 규정했다. 세계대전을 제국주의 전쟁으로 분석하고 혁명적 패배주의 노선의 이론적 토대를 제공한 마르크스-레닌주의의 핵심 문헌이다.
